ComputerGirl Looking for Team Members

We are currently looking to expand our team to not only keep up with the additional features of our site, but also to involve more of the young women community. It is our hope that ComputerGirl is not the work of one, but of many.

Benefits

The benefits of joining the ComputerGirl team are many even though we do not require a large time commitment. Besides becoming more aware of the computer science community, members not only enlarge their network, but also gain valuable knowledge of technology in society today. There are also many group activities and conferences possible, where they may meet outstanding members of the CS community. ComputerGirl is officially supported by ACM-W and unofficially supported by many other prominent organizations.

Eligibility

All team members must be high school women interested in technology, engineering, or computer science. Members should have basic web and computer knowledge. 

Commitment

Since any work would mostly fall under maintenance, update, and resource gathering, the commitment is not high. About an hour per week is expected, and additional time may be necessary for larger projects.

Duties

Team work involves management of particular sections of the site. Section managers are responsible for maintaining links, updating resources, and adding additional information. All team members may collaborate to brainstorm ideas for spreading technology awareness to women worldwide.
